St Merryn's Allotment and Community Garden Project is to feature on 2008's People's Millions. The People's Millions is supported by the Big Lottery Fund and ITV, and allows people to vote by telephone for their favourite project. You will be able to cast your vote following coverage on ITV West Country News.
As well as providing St Merryn with much-needed allotment space, the project aims to provide community composting, community gardening and a toddlers' play area. We hope to really involve the whole community - single people, groups, families, the young and the not-so-young. We also plan on running lots of workshops and encouraging everyone to take part.
We are very excited to have been chosen to participate in The People's Millions and hope to get as many people voting for us as possible. Filming for our TV slot took place on on 6th November and many villagers turned up to show their support. Were you there?
Our film will air on Monday 24 November and voting can start from 9am.
The number to ring will be available on the day either by watching ITV Westcountry news bulletins or by visiting people's millions.
We will email you a reminder on the day if you send your details to getinvolved@stmerryn.org.uk
